This summer, Boston Celtics forward Kevin Garnett shocked the sneaker world when he opted out of his 'lifetime' contract with adidas to take his talents to China, where he'd go on to represent the ANTA footwear and apparel brand. Included in that new deal is a KG signature sneaker, which KG has proudly displayed during the NBA season. Up to now, we've seen several photos of the ANTA KG 1, but never as detailed as the photos we have for you today.
KG's ANTA shoe features a mid-cut, with perforated leather mostly doing the job on the upper. Additionally, the sneaker features a padded collar, midfoot strap and heel-pull tab. What stands out the most about the KG 1 is how personalized the shoe is. Garnett's new logo and jersey number appear on the strap, heel, lace eyelets, filling in the ANTA logos and is even integrated into the traction pattern. Also worth noting is the eye silhouette seen on the tongue of the shoe. The KG 1 comes in white and black leather looks, each making use of green and gold accenting.
