Vince Carter already had springs, Nike decided to give him a boost. Today's entry in the "20 Designs That Changed The Game" revolves around the Nike Shox BB4. The Shox technology had been in the works for over 20 years, but Nike didn't have the resources necessary to complete the project until 1999. Crafted by the best designers, and engineered in the lab, the BB4 was on the cutting edge of the sneaker world. Built to be a super performer on the hardwood, it did exactly that. The shoe gave Vinsanity an edge he didn't need. He was ready for liftoff and the end result was arguably the greatest dunk of all time. Sorry Frederic. [via Nike, Inc.]
