1987 Meets 1993 on This New Nike Sportswear Release

Yet another classic Nike silhouettes is wearing the "Safari" Dots

by Brendan Dunne

In 1987 Nike released the Nike Air Safari, the first shoe from the sportswear brand without a connection to a specific sport.

By 2014 the namesake print from that shoe has grown to be connected to plenty of sports thanks to the frequent porting of the print onto other models. The latest example of that happens on this new Nike Air Max 93–although it's safe to say that there aren't any serious runners out there putting in miles in this retro model. The Nike in question has yet to make its way to stateside retailers, but the rest of the recent colorways save for the Size? exclusives have, so there's no reason to expect this one to stay foreign.
