For the opening leg of this summer's Nike World Basketball Festival, our tour of Washington D.C. dropped us at the Barry Farms courts earlier tonight to catch a game between the Goodman League All-Stars and the TeamNike New York Select squad.

As we'd find out almost immediately, D.C. is a prideful region. I knew pretty quickly that this place watches after its own the second I spotted someone wearing head-to-toe WE R ONE clothing -- DMV native Steve Francis' long-defunct line of finer things of course.

It turns out that brave man was none other than Goodman League Commish and play-by-play announcer Miles Rawls.

With Rawls behind the mic and literally everyone else packed inside "The Gates" talking non-stop trash to the team from up north, the Goodman League held on to win 113-110, despite letting go of their 10-point cushion in the second half. Hometown hero Kevin Durant and his teammate James Harden enjoyed the game from the front row, right alongside legendary Georgetown Coach John Thompson.

Check out the action ahead, as former Cincy PG Kenny Satterfield and full-get-buckets-mode "Too Hard To Guard" held things down for TeamNike, while James Gist, "Jamaican Rob" and "The Destoyer" (aka Hugh Jones and formerly aka "Baby Shack" of the AND1 Mixtape Tour) took care of business for the Goodman League. Both squads were outfitted in the Electric Green / Liquid Lime Lunar Hyperdunk+, with additional on-court cameos including the Hyperdunk Low and new Dominate XD. And since it's D.C., there were Foams everywhere in the crowd.
