No matter how busy his schedule may get, Phil Knight always finds a way to make it to Eugene for the biggest of Duck games. With Oregon facing off against USC later today for top billing in the PAC-10, the Nike Founder was sure to be at Autzen Stadium bright and early this morning, where he even joined in as a guest host on ESPN’s College Gameday. He made bold upset predictions, clowned on fat girlfriends and laced the rest of the panel with custom pairs of Trainer 1s.
Through the years, Nike has made sure to take good care of their University of Oregon athletes, as the school’s hoops, football and even marching band squads have continually received custom exclusive pairs. This season, the Ducks football team has been hitting the weights and preparing for game day in Nike’s Trainer 1, styled up in a smoke nubuck upper, with black anodized patent support overlays, and of course, lightning yellow suede accents throughout. With cement print along the collar and a carbon fiber patterning applied to the midsole, I’d say this Trainer 1 ranks up there amongst the best athlete exclusive Oregon shoes.
GO DUCKS!!

Man, I saw some old guy at my gym wearing these like a month ago. I really wanted to ask where he got those. Definitely a hot shoe.

In the 5th picture there is another cw of the trainer 1 in the back. It’s got grey elephant print and is predominately green/yellow with white soles.

anyone else find it hilarious and pathetic that these types of posts regarding exclusive sneakers are full of idiots who ask “where can i get them?!” and “how much?!”; learn to read the post, people. still a piece of work from nike none the less, most definitely my favorite oregon exclusives.
is it a running shoe ? or the training shoe ?
also, would the midsole last; they seem similar to lunar foam so they might not last ….
