It’s still funny to think about all of the commotion that stemmed from LeBron showing up to an Indians/Yankees series with a Yankees cap on, and it’s even more awesome that Nike Basketball has thrown it right back in the face of Cleveland natives ever since, spinning up ‘Yankees’ and ‘New York’ versions of his shoes time and time again. As LeBron (I think) heads to the Garden tonight for the last time in a Cleveland jersey, what better day to break out the Yankees V’s? The wool might not have been best suited for performance, and the ‘Fresh For ‘08, Suckers!’ tag will always be laughable, but it’ll still be tough to top this when it comes to themed and commemorative sneakers, considering all perceived loyalties.

I saw these when they came out… But I didnt see them. That hint of patent on the inner toe box is ill. The pinstripes just killed the shoe for me but I like them now! I am diggin this shoe big time. Got a couple colorways but there is always room for more. SWEET, like southern tea!
My favorite LeBron shoe EVER. I’ve worn mine ONCE… and have a hard time justifying damaging them. They are just so beautiful, and it helps I am a diehard Yankee Fan!

I wasn’t a big fan on the LeBron V’s, but when I saw these fro the first time a few years ago, I was hooked!
This is the only colorway of the V I liked and theres no doubt that the shoe hot as hell!
