Sneaker Watch: NBA Start of Season!

The season is finally underway, and here we have a look at several of the new sneakers guys around the league are wearing to kick things off.

While we’re not sure why the Cavs wore road wine at home, meaning LeBron would be wearing the all black Max LeBron VII and not the shoe’s launch colorway, Tuesday night did mark the debut of the latest King James signature shoe on-court.

Once again, Paul Pierce will have his own signature sneaker available just for kids, as he’s seen here wearing the Nike Air Legacy.

What’d you like better, this block or LeBron’s block on Rondo? While not the most flattering picture of Ray, he’s seen wearing a player exclusive version of the Old School III.

Kevin Garnett jumped right into the TS Bounce Commander III from the start of the season, a shoe that won’t be available for another couple of months.

I’ve been arguing with Zac for the past few days that Mo Williams will have one of the worst seasons to follow up a first-time All-Star appearance. After wearing a team colorway of the Hyperdunk all last year, Mo is getting his own PE version of the Hyperize, and Rajon Rondo can be seen wearing the Nike Zoom Sharkalaid.

Kyle Lowry has been sticking with last year’s adidas Mad Clima, as he’s hoping to help contribute more this season for the depleted Rockets.

Travis Outlaw led the Blazers with 23 points and also wore a nice colorway of the adidas TS Commander LT.

Checking out players that stress their shoes from every angle is always a bonus on Sneaker Watch, as Brandon Roy torques the hell out of his Nike Air Max Rise during a drive to the basket.

Steve Blake has remained a loyal AND1 wearer for the past few seasons, seen here wearing the L2G Low.

You know I had to — but Jason Williams, wearing the Nike Blue Chip II, had a strong return to the L with 15 points and 5 assists for the Magic.

Andrea Bargnani and the Raptors dealt the Cavs a tough road loss. While LeBron broke out the white/navy Max LeBron VII, he’s gotta be more worried about getting the team off to a better start.

Jose Calderon, wearing Li Ning once again, was about as passionate as it gets last night at home.

While he’ll be wearing his second signature shoe later in the year, Kevin Durant is sticking by the Zoom KD1 for now.
