Oftentimes with sneaker conscious celebs like Jay-Z, Wale and Kanye West, they’ll break out a variety of styles while on tour, walking the streets or perhaps even for a promotional photoshoot, keeping everyone focused on what they’ll be wearing next. When Jay-Z stepped out for the Blueprint III Tour recently in this strapped-up high-top, everyone was wondering what exactly he was wearing amongst his usual all black everything. The shoe is the 420 Top, from Radii Footwear, and it retails for $95. After spending years working his way through the retail channels, designer and brand founder Casey Arisohn launched Radii just a year ago, and they’re now carried in boutique accounts and retailers like Sportie LA, DTLR, Sheikh and Jimmy Jazz. Available now in a wide assortment of patent-based colorways as well as suede and denim get-ups, the 420 Top incorporates three straps across the eyestay and an even more sizable strap across the shoe’s collar.
