Rodney Stuckey is not your prototypical point guard. And perhaps that’s why I’ve been so critical of him in Detroit, especially after Chauncey Billups was given the boot in favor of the unproven young gun.
After watching his rock solid play so far this year, he appears to finally be putting it all together, as he hopes to lead the re-tooled Pistons back to prominence. So far he’s putting up 18.5 points per game, with 5 rebounds and 4.5 assists as well.
All season long, Stuckey has been wearing a white based player exclusive of the adidas TS Cut Creator, as the Pistons are one of the few teams to wear white sneakers for both home and away games.
Earlier tonight, Stuckey put the man he didn’t feel like giving up his number to, Allen Iverson, right on his ass with a crazy step-back dribble and jumper. He also happened to later nail the game-clinching shot to hand the Sixers their 11th straight loss. A great season so far for Stuckey indeed.
And thanks to the sweet editing skills of a YouTube member, we get not one, but THREE looks at Stuckey’s step back move that sent AI to the floor. (Don’t worry, the move is :20 seconds into the 10 minute game recap.)

A great colorway, and Stuckey’s slowly turning into a the great player he can be.
