While the Berlin Wall falling was monumental in so many ways, one of the long term benefits for sneakerheads, was that Overkill was able to open up shop a number of years later, providing a one stop shop for sneakers and streetwear. Setting apart Overkill from its competitors is a unique arrangement of two floors, one consisting of sneakers, the other loaded with popular streetwear brands.
To celebrate the 20 year anniversary of the collapse of the Berlin Wall, Overkill has teamed up for a trio of New Balance sneakers. The 577 was made up in three popular colorways. Blue, red and black are each placed separately on a base of grey and white 577′s, which are made up of a mix of nubuck and mesh. Each features unique graphics that celebrate the falling of the wall on the insoles, as well as a depiction of the wall on the tongue tags. Each colorway is limited to just 577 pairs, and will be available January 9th, 2010 for 124,90 € (about $180).
In addition to Overkill, the Berlin Wall Pack will be available at Colette, Hanon, Sneakersnstuff, 24 Kilates, Undefeated and Wood Wood.
