Nike Sportswear has once again called upon famed DJ and sneaker enthusiast, DJ Clark Kent, to lend his creative influence on a new version of his favorite sneaker. With his love for sneakers, and specifically the Air Force 1, coupled with hisĀ New York City roots, Clark was the obvious choice to represent the “East” in this latest release. Clark and Nike created a fictitious basketball team called the East Warriors, and as could be expected a new colorway of the classic sneaker and collection of gear only seemed natural.
While the team may be fictitious, the East vs West rivalry will never fade away. To help ensure that it doesn’t, this collection not only features the Air Force 1, but also an AW77 Hoodie and Nike Sportswear t-shirt, complete with East Warriors mascot and colors. The blue and orange colors are tastefully combined and then placed on varsity patches, that then make their way onto the gear. A limited number of these Air Force 1’s will be released with a collectors edition box and NYC chenille patch. Better arrive early though, only the first 60 pairs will include the limited box and NYC patch.
The East Warriors collection launches today exclusively at Nike Sportswear at 21 Mercer. Of course to help launch the line there will be a launch party from 8-10pm, that will include DJ Clark Kent displaying his skills on the turntables. The East Warriors collection drops across the rest of theĀ country on Black Friday, November 27th, 2009.

One of the few pairs of Air Force’s i’ve liked in a long time. But I probably still won’t cop.
terrible concept, with that fictitious east team! too bad that they’ve run out of ideas…
“tastefully combined”
LOL.
these are tight i like the colorway… the hoodie combo is a great market scheme, i wonder what these went for, anyone know?
The colorway reminds me of the New York “Knickerbockers”…
