Each month Nike Skateboarding hand picks a number of their silhouettes to release new colorways. The range of color choices sometimes range from mild to beyond wild. Somehow it seems, that no matter what choices end up making the final cut, there is always something for everybody. This month however, all the silhouettes and color choices land much further to the mild side rather than the wild.
Highlighting the monthly drop from the Nike SB camp is a collaboration with the Skate Mental crew. From the pairing of these two skate powerhouses comes a new makeup of the SB Dunk Hi, although the partnership is nothing new, as most of us can remember the Heavy Mental Dunks that dropped a couple years back. This time around the Skate Mental Dunk is treated with a soft brown suede and then accented with a light blue Swoosh and inner lining. A detail that most may overlook on the Skate Mental Dunks can be found on the off-white panel which features an embossed-like element that follows the stitching around the toebox.
Second up in the December releases is a simple colorway of the SB Bruin which Nike has removed the standard Swoosh in favor of a perforated version. A premium version of the popular Stefan Janoski signature model receives an all black makeup, which is the first of the Janoski signature to be made up of a wool upper. Rounding out this month’s SB releases is a low-top Dunk which features a nice mix of Obsidian and Midnight Fog colors.
The December Nike SB’s are available at Nike Skateboarding retailers like Ground Zero.
