Nike Skateboarding is no stranger to collaborations. The SB team all but made the concept of teaming up with artists and boutiques a mainstream part of sneakers. While they may not have been the first to do so, they definitely gained the most attention by doing so, and the number of collaborative partners is exponential nowadays. The skateboarding industry is one of the few that meshes well with the collaborative creations that can become the focus of the industry’s direction. Companies, artists, and skaters teaming up creates opportunity for the most incredible results. Sometimes these collaborations result in a sneaker, sometimes an art show, and on occasion they give birth to even greater creations.
Nike SB has teamed up with Fluff Magazine for what looks to be the latter of the three. For the Fluff collab, not only do a sneaker and photography book make it into the mix, but a Pop-up store and exhibition is also part of the latest Nike SB collaboration. The sneaker of choice turns out to be the SB Bruin silhouette, while the photography book features the artwork of Marcel Veldman, who followed 117 European skaters on 19 different tours. The pop-up store and exhibition will commence with the release of the Fluff SB Bruin on December 12th in Barcelona.
