Nike RT1 in Mahogany & Dark Cinder

words & images_Nick DePaula

Though the spring and summer brought us more bright tones of the Nike RT1, the winter’s harsher climate welcomes in two boot inspired colorways of the high-top sneaker from Nike’s Urban Sportswear group.

First up we have a look at the Mahogany/ Dark Cinder/ Gum Yellow version, featuring a synthetic leather upper, nubuck collar and nylon tongue. The Dark Cinder based colorway incorporates suede, synthetic leather, and a nylon tongue as well. Look for the Mahogany & Cinder RT1s, retailing for $95, available at boutique and urban accounts now.

On the Dark cinder looks like Nike copied the Air walk colour way done by Jeff Staple .

^ the brown tones are quite different shades…but it’s safe to say both were definitely inspired by some classic and traditional boot colorways.
