The Footscape from Nike is one of those silhouettes that seems to meet two types of reactions to its unique appearance, love or hate. Finding an opinion that lies somewhere in between may be a bit of a challenge, but it seems that is also what keeps the die hard fans of the Footscape happy. A new version of the Footscape will debut in the Spring of 2010. Judging from the first look here, the new formula will have those die hard followers foaming at the mouth.
The most key elements that make the Footscape silhouette unique have been retained in the Footscape Motion. The narrow channeled laces still remain, which is probably what makes the Footscape stand out the most amongst the wall of sneakers at your local Nike dealer. While the typical colorways of the original silhouette are mostly tonal uppers, the new Footscape Motion finds some contrasting color on the uppers in the form of Flywire technology. In addition to Flywire, Free technology has also been mildly incorporated into the sole. A unique and popular silhouette reinvented with the addition of new technologies makes this another one to look forward to in early 2010.

I’ll start off by breaking the mold, I’m neutral on these, the sole looks really, really good, but I’m not a fan of the FlyWire upper. The OG’s were better IMO.
I like the idea of re-working the footscape, even with flywire, I’m just not sure I love this. Nene is right about the sole, looks really good.
I’ll reserve full judgement until I see it in person!
looks very practical
