To honor Breast Cancer Awareness Month, we’ll be seeing a wave of pink overtake the NFL’s Week 4 games tomorrow, a first for the league. Led by the efforts of DeAngelo Williams of the Carolina Panthers, well over 100 players will wear pink cleats, accessories and gloves this weekend to raise awareness for the month-long campaign. Williams has become unfortunately familiar with the disease, as breast cancer has become a personal battle for many of the women in his life. His mother, Sandra Hill, was diagnosed five years ago and is now in remission, while all three of Hill’s sisters have passed away as a result of breast cancer.
Be sure to check out the website of The DeAngelo Williams Foundation, where Williams has placed an emphasis on funding for preventative care and research.
Along with Williams, Ben Roethlisberger, LaDainian Tomlinson and several other Nike athletes are expected to take the field tomorrow fully clad in pink cleats and gear. Look for the Zoom Super Bad on the feet of many guys, as well as the LT 2.1, seen below.

This was a GREAT thing! I honestly think they should do it all month. However, shouldn’t we as men have testicular cancer awareness month? At which time the NFL support that as well. Just my thoughts.
