LA Gear Lights Up Black Friday at Sportie LA

We all remember when LA Gear Lights hit the world about 18 years ago. Even if you weren’t around then, you’ve probably seen the unforgettable sneakers at some point along the way. LA Gear became famous not only because of the light-up sneakers, but also with the help of stars like Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, Joe Montana and Michael Jackson. The end of last year launched the comeback of the iconic sneaker brand, which leads us into the return of the most memorable, the LA Lights.
A number of colorways of the sneaker are being brought back for another go-round, 18 years after their original release. If you recall the originals from 1992, you probably remember the lights being able to last a couple of years. Today’s version has upped the lifespan of the lights to seven years thanks to advances in technology. The guys’ version of the LA Gear Lights will come in five colorways, while the three women’s colorways will include Gold, Silver, and Red.
This Black Friday the most innovative shoes of the LA Gear line will make their long anticipated return. Though the general release of the sneakers won’t be until the 12th of December, Sportie LA will be releasing a limited number online at 11:59pm on Thursday the 26th, giving you time to order before you head towards those early morning shopping destinations that you’ve been planning.

Yo! They retro-ed the wrong shoe! They had two cool ass shoes to chose from that were decent. They passed on them both and went with this??? I had a pair senior year that were cross trainers/hoop shoes with the light in that you could slide out from the back and replace the battery. They had the look and were solid! Trajan Langdon and company won State Hoops in them.
