With the 76ers’ signing of Allen Iverson in the news, I decided now would be a good time to show the classic sneaker that was in the news five years ago. Retailing for a jaw dropping $65,000, the Iverson Question Mid had over 246 diamonds totaling 25.5 carats!
The cover of the November 2004 catalog had Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer reading a Holiday Eastbay.

The shoe priced at 65K was on page 5.

This catalog also had the RBK Answer VIII and RBK Question 2 on page 16.

Good Luck AI, I’m cheering for you.

Question is, did someone buy them?
i know the guy who bought them. Insane purchase!!
i bought them
sure……..
haha yeah i know right!
I wish I had got a pair of the Question 2s I passed on them and I regret it now!
Always thought they shoulda replaced the Hexalite with Diamonds too…..
I can’t believe that this came out 5 years ago. I remember sitting in my room shaking my head at how outrageous the price was. time flies!
Man these probably cost way more now with the price of gold, diamonds and silver going up. damn they look so good though
No one bought them.
I heard they did sell the only pair they made, don’t know who or what size they were.
p.s. I can’t believe I passed on that colorway of the Answer VIII’s
if i was gonna buy them i would of got size 18 make sure i get as much as i can. I know there is no way somebody would get their real size and buy these
That’s a good plan! LOL
I had those answer VIII’s in the sixth grade
