Carmelo Anthony Meets With Future Sole Winner

Yesterday, Carmelo Anthony was in need of a fresh cut, and as usual, he dropped by his very own Studio 15 Barbershop in Denver. Unlike most afternoons at Studio 15, where Melo can go to relax and hang out, he had arranged ahead of time with Jordan Brand Design Director D’Wayne Edwards a surprise meeting with Austin Jermacans, winner of the 2009 Future Sole Jordan Finals. It was Jermacans, of course, who submitted the winning Jordan Melo M6 rendering last October, a clean re-design of the original M6 inspired by Melo’s off-court transformation and more matured tastes and style.
When Jermacans walked into Studio 15, accompanied by Edwards, Jordan Brand designer Justin Taylor and several local news reporters and cameramen, there was Melo, already awaiting his arrival. After the two were formally introduced, Melo had yet another surprise for Austin — a final sample of his M6 Future Sole rendering.
With two colorways on hand, a Nuggets-themed Black/Carolina Blue/Gold and a Syracuse-inspired White/Orange/Navy version, both Carmelo and Austin checked out the final product for the first time in person. Earlier tonight, Melo wore the Nuggets version at home, and look for Syracuse to wear their special cement-laden iteration soon. This June, the Melo M6 Future Sole edition will also see a very limited nationwide release.

Earlier tonight, Carmelo Anthony wore the Melo M6 FS at home against the Oklahoma City Thunder, putting up 30 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists in the win.

Nice… REALLY NICE! The Orange/Elephant are BLAZING!!! I’d like to see some retail CW’s of these. Good switch-up on the Melo M6… hope JB at least gave this cat an internship!?!?
And of course, the Nuggets trounce the Thunder. It must have been the shoes. Great stuff.
Future Sole is a great program helping upcoming young guys reach their dreams. Another positive outlet for youth and an obvious benefit to the sneaker game. Nice work Austin!

Love the shoes, we know Austin, he is a great kid from a wonderful family, my grandson wants a pair to use when playing AAU basketball. Hope we can get on a pre-sale list to make sure we get a pr of size 11. He put a lot of thought into what Melo is all about in life and in basketball. proud of Austin and Melo for picking his design

i dont know about the design, but the shoe is neatly made.. all seams, cuts, everything is on point… details are on the spot.
