In May of 2010, with the help of influential cycling brand Cadence, DVS will launch the first cycling specific skate shoe. The Cadence x DVS Milan CTC is the first shoe of a new category for DVS, Classic Tribute Cycling, that will feature cycling specific performance and durability enhancements added to traditional skate shoes.
“From the beginning the goal was to create a cycling functional shoe that you can skate and walk around in all day,” says Cadence owner Dustin Klein. “The result of our combined efforts is beyond what I had imagined.”
The Milan CTC features reflective detailing for night-time visibility, a specially designed patterning on the tongue that protects laces from toe cage damage, and a stiffer lasting board that reduces leg fatigue and increases pedal stroke strength. Despite being loaded with features for cycling use, the shoe functions equally as a skate shoe, with all the standard elements of the DVS Milan CT.
Look for these at DVS retailers in May.
