“Box Out Breast Cancer” LeBron VII & Hyperize

words_Nick DePaula

While Breast Cancer Awareness Month may have officially ended in October, the Cleveland Cavaliers and Cleveland Clinic have teamed up to continue to help raise awareness and promote preventative screening. With images coming straight from Nike Basketball, here we have a look at both a home and away version of the Nike Max LeBron VII, as well as a glimpse of the Mo-Gotti Nike Hyperize. Both LeBron James and Mo Williams will be wearing the custom kicks tonight on national television.

With faded Flywire along the black-based VII, and a similar woven pattern atop the white-based NFW colorway, seen before on the “Red Carpet” VII, both styles offer quite a few variations. No word just yet on whether or not there will be a widespread release for the VII, but you can expect to find the pink colorway of the Hyperize at the House Of Hoops in the future.

The Cavaliers will face off against the Chicago Bulls tonight at 8PM EST on ESPN.

I find the “Boxing Out” tagline to be particularly ironic especially when you consider how homoerotic a box out is and how feminine breast cancer (usually) is.
