Baron Davis’ Li Ning Kicks For This Season

After leaving Reebok and signing with Li Ning last summer, we didn’t see as much of Baron Davis on the court, as he played in just 65 games and figured to be mailing it in for half of those contests. With Blake Griffin joining the squad, Zach Randolph long gone and several emerging young players, this year the Clippers are expecting a better season and Baron is looking to be in great shape and ready to go. Chalk last year up to a “I just got PAID and feel like relaxing” season I guess.

He’ll be hitting the court in the Li Ning BD Doom, which feature a ton of signature details like his name on the underside of the tongue, his jersey number and the unmistakable “Baron’s Beard” character likeness on the tongue’s pull tab. It’s an amazingly funny detail that goes along with Baron’s goofy and always loose vibe. There’s no word just yet on whether or not the shoe will be available stateside, but here we have a look at a clean Black/White/Red version that features a combination leather and suede upper with hits of 3M and red accents.

     I wish the upper wasn’t perfed as well. That was my main complaint. I’d still like to test a pair for the right price.

   Li-Ning has been on top of it for a while now.
   After really following them for a little over 6 months now, they’re highly underrated.
   As a basketball shoe, these are great, and BDavis’ touches just add to it.
   I dig it…
