It’s no secret that Spike Lee has a huge passion for sneakers. From his films to his court side seat at The Garden, you can almost always find some heat on his feet. A few years ago now, Jordan Brand tapped into his creative mind to design his perfect Air Jordan and the result was the hybrid silhouette called the Spiz’ike. Typically hybrid silhouettes are not the quickest to catch on in the sneaker community, especially from Jordan Brand. That can easily be blamed on how dedicated sneakerheads are to the now classic Jordan III, IV, V and VI, the same styles that were infused into the Spiz’ike. Unexpected to some, the Spiz’ike has become one of the most popular Jordan silhouettes in recent years and a new colorway is on its way to stores in early 2010.
This time the Spiz’ike receives a mostly black treatment, which instantly brings up thoughts of both the Black/Varsity Red colorway of the Air Jordan IV and the Black/Cement colorway of the Air Jordan III. With the popularity of the Spiz’ike, and a classic Jordan Brand color combination, you can bet these will be on many folks’ cop list. In fact, this could be the best colorway of the Spiz’ike to date. What are your thoughts?

my thoughts? all Spiz’ike suck. personally i’m a purist, y’all can keep your hybrid/fusion frankensteins. but that’s just my thoughts.
