adidas Originals All-Star Superstar & Artillery Pack

words & images_Zac Dubasik

With Dallas playing host to what is sure to be the biggest All-Star game of all-time (in terms of attendance at the very least), adidas Originals has created a limited edition pack to honor the festivities. Presented in a special bag-like box, these kicks pay homage to both the occasion and location.

The Artillery Mid, brought back from the adidas hoops archive, features a red, white and blue colorway. These colors will be found on the uniforms of the East (blue) and West (red) squads, as well as being on the flag of the state of Texas. The Superstar 80s feature a black upper with a debossed print on the heel and stars on the stripes, paying tribute to the host city’s western heritage. The pack retails for $180 and will be available at select retailers this week, just in time for the All-Star Weekend festivities.

The Artillery in this pack is much more appealing than that travesty made up for the celebrity game. That Superstar is pretty ill too, now that I think about it.

  2. Terence says:

wow… might have to pick up set if i stumble upon it

  3. sneaksoy says:

The Superstar is alright, not really feeling the Artillery. Box is better than the shoes imo!

  4. Nene33 says:

I love the Artillery, the 3/4 always does it for me.
The Superstars are nice, very classy execution.

The Artillery, still today, is one of adidas’ best ever designs. Wish they would have kept the yellow Torsion bar, even though it doesn’t match, just for nostalgia.

So, I opened up my mail-ordered ASG TS Supernatural Creators this afternoon, and was actually a little sad that they weren’t these Artillery Mids… the OGs are up there with the Ballistic Force’s as the best kicks I have ever owned…

  7. big boi says:

    love it!

  8. London says:

I guess I’m one of the few who like the Artillery’s better than the superstars.

  9. Jimmy Balls says:

I don’t think I’d rock either, maybe the superstars if I had to chose, but I’d prefer those in white…

  10. Kirk says:

What stores are selling these shoes?
