Is it safe to use Sea Glow on the netting of '01 Air Jordan Vs? I'm curious in knowing if it will have a negative effect on the material beneath the netting, before I do it.

I went back and re-read your post with the problem with the IXs and I think posting a pic of the problem might get you the answer you're looking for. I checked out the catalog for the angelus suede dyes and I think spice is a good match for the olives but it might not be necessary depending on how bad the damage to the suede is

^^^ u can use the dye on this, but the dyes are really messy to handle and it will take a long time for the dye to dry!! maybe a fabric spray/marker will also work.... & yes the Spice dye is the closest match to the olive colorway!! Very Happy

What is the material on the Griffeys? The stuff that makes up the majority of the upper?

And how do you clean it?

Also, should I use dull sandpaper on the front midsole of my WC 3s?

yeah, I think if you're careful and get as much of the excess dye off the dauber before you apply you should be good. If you can get your hands on a hair dryer you can speed up the drying process too and wear rubber gloves... That stuff's a pain in the ass to clean off your hands

thank you for both of you giving me help..To dye the area..I was thinking of using a thin paint brush and painting where needed. Would that work or would I have to redye the entire area itself?

it would depend on how well the dye blends in with the original; if the dye dries lighter, you can just do the area where the damage is and each layer of dye will darken until you can match it to the og as best as you can. If it dries darker, you may have to dye the whole shoe to make it look uniform. You can use a paint brush but I'd recommend using a cotton swab because it holds more dye and you can press it to the area that you're dyeing to transfer the color instead of strokes that may be uneven

thanks fellas

seems like slight chipping or w.e. on the lower midsole of the shoe. Would this crack and destroy the shoe or could I use shoe goo or e6000 to resolve the problem?

^^^ honestly, the midsole looks weak & about to give up!! press on the midsole & if ur finger kinda sinks in, then the midsole is about to give up on u!! i think e6000 would be ur best bet to seal the cracks/separation!! Thumbs Up Wink

BUT I DONT CONDONE WEARING THEM IF THE MIDSOLE IS WEAK BECUZ UR GONNA LOOK FUNNY HAVING FOAM CHIPPING OFF UR SHOE ON UR WAY HOME!!! PLUS, I DONT THINK U REALLY WANNA DESTROY THESE.... OR DO U??!! SMH Neutral

With IXs it sounds like simple paint chipping which is common and would only need a paint restoration. if it's a crack, you can seal it with glue and clamp it until the glue cures as long as there aren't little chunks or fragments falling from the sole but the deterioration has already started so you'd be lucky to get a few wears out of them before the signs of damage start to appear again

edit: pic didn't load for me when I read your post and I thought you were still asking questions about the olive IXs
