No, not at all. You'll get better fades the longer you wait, but with Nudies you don't want to wait the 6 months they suggest (in my opinion) or they're going to be falling apart on you in no time. Soak/wash at one month if you want, who cares?

and my SJDJ Nudies ripped at the crotch like everyone else's at 7 months with no soaks.

well im not sure when i first soaked them. but maybe around 4-5months
right now im only like my 5th wash... only loose threads and my leg opening hem is getting destroyed

Well you don't apply much pressure on the crotch area then, because it's a proven fact that Nudies are prone to crotch blow outs if pressure is applied over a long period of time. Any jeans are for that matter, just Nudies easier than others.
