just got a pair of sexi08's. if i were to cold presoak it, and then later when i want to soak it again, if i cold it then, would the creasing remain in place? In other words Would the shrinking be the same? _________________ FLICKR

It's not a good idea. After the initial cold soak all of the shrinkage won't be gone so they will shrink even more the next time you cold soak them. _________________

So, even though it would stretch out after the initial soak, it would soak more the next time i soak even at the same general temp? _________________ FLICKR

What would happen is you would cold soak and the denim would not shrink completely, and the next time that they touched water they would continue to shrink. Causing the places that have faded to shift and now look funny.
I don't know if I did the best job explaining that, it's late, I'm tired. _________________

are you suppose to wear STF501s in the tub or can you just put them in the tub? _________________ L>4 DS CDP/TOUR IV sz. 9-10 |

In my opinion, you're nowhere near ready for any kind of soak/wash..1 month? I mean cmon you can't expect anything to fade that fast
Wear them out as much as possible, simple enough;
don't think about soaks this early on _________________

I've seen jeans washed once a month that look really good. You wont get awesome looking fades though from soaking this early, so if you decide to, don't expect anything awesome to come out.
HansonXD, I just soaked mine in the tub, they came out fine. Did a hot soak for about an hour, inseam shrunk about the 3 inches they said, the waist fits fine, and i went TTS. _________________

I just left it overnight. Soak finished sometime around midnight, woke up around 9 or so, was pretty much dry besides some of the thicker parts like the coin pocket. _________________

Should I soak my APC NS to shrink they a bit? They really have gotten loose after a bunch of wears. Or should i just take em to the tailor so they can taper the whole jean (is that possible)? _________________ Karmaloop Rep Code for 20% off- conniethegreat

^Start wearing a belt to prevent stretching in the waist, and yeah next time you plan on washing/soaking, make it hot so it can have shrinkage.
Its better to stretch it out again rather than have it loose and taken to a tailor. _________________

You can just soak them in the tub. I'm currently wearing a pair of STF's and I went true to size on them. I just tossed them in the tub and after it dried, I just wore them. They'll eventually stretch out when you wear them. No need to wear them while they're wet. _________________
