Two questions.
I just bought a pair of 501 stf's, should I just wear them in the bathtub? If so for how long, and should I just stand there and wait for them to dry, or pat them down a little with a towel and move around?
Also, I got grass stains on the cuffs of my s5010xx's, what can I do to get these off? It's bothering me alot. |

If they've got room at the waist, just go ahead and just throw them in to soak alone (or wash), 40-60 minute soak is optimal. Be sure to change the water out once and try to move them around a bit to get more shrink out.
Soap and water on the cuffs. If you don't wanna wash them, just let them be. Chances are they're likely to just get dirty again real soon; they are, after all, near your feet. |

It depends. If you went true to size, you don't have to wear them while it's soaking. I know they're " STF ", but I soaked mines and I went TTS. They might be a little tight after they dry but I promise you, they'll stretch out.
As for the grass stains, a wash where the area is stained ( just like what solix said ) is probably the best. It's only grass stains. If they're not that noticeable, I wouldn't really trip about it. _________________

yup
they'll be garbage if they jack up the price, but until then
buy as many test pairs as you want |
yes they might be worth the price but the quality is crappy and a waste of time. you really do get what you pay for. take out another $100 and you can get a pair of APC |

this.
and also,
I have some Levi slouch skinnys (520) that i just started breaking in for honeycombs and whiskers. The length is just fine but i wanted to shrink the waist. The length is 30 and the waist is 32 but the seat is a little baggy. Should i sit the upper of the jean in the warm water and just let that shrink.? if so, how far down should in the water should i go and will it be irregular fitting throughout the jean afterwards.?
another, how long will this set back my breaking in process.? |

If they're regular Levis, they probably wont shrink much.
Is there anyway to "spot-clean" demin without a full soak or making faded spots? _________________

Well that all depends on what kind of jeans they are and if YOU think they're ready for a soak
Zoklar- I'm not sure what you mean by spot clean.. _________________

Like if i got sauce on my pants or some shit like that. Toothpaste, whatever. I did a quick clean with some water and a brush, but I'm wondering if theres a more established method. _________________

Ok, thanks. Will brushing it with water created faded spots? _________________

It shouldn't unless you soak that spot. _________________
