I can't speak for Kiya, but I'm assuming that his Japanese is at least decent from going over there so much and communicating with people from there.

The jeans ranged from 40 to 200 apparently. There were apparently some warehouse pairs for $40... Talk about a great deal.

I'd say it works the other way around. Japanese are some of the best businessmen around, English is critical.

Kiya is your last name Novack? Because you and a teacher I know at my school look very alike. Same style of clothing, hair style, and glasses. I wouldn't be surprised if you guys were related. I'll try and post a pic.

X-post from another forum.

I thought these looked pretty awesome. The price is too steep for what they are, but maybe if they come into mass production (which sounds like something they won't do) and lower the price they could be a staple in raw denim.

"A few facts regarding the jeans:

- Mauro and Mr.MWAC patterned the jeans with the Style Forum guy in mind. It is a modern cut for the denimhead.

-This particular model in its weight and raw state is a limited world exclusive to the Farinelli's store. Only 110 units will be produced and all of them will be numbered on the inside.

- The denim is 3x1 13oz raw sanforized selvage that was cut and sewn in Okayama, Japan, a prefecture known to some as the "mecca" of artisanal denim.

- The yarn construction makes for a very dense weave that creates a blueish-black surface indigo color to the point that it's somewhat hard to see the white warp up close.

- Double-cap buttons, which increase long-term durability, that measure 20mm or about 2mm larger than other brands. The buttons also have a special coating to give them an oxidized look but because they are not genuinely iron oxidized they will not bleed or break down.

- Thick buffalo leather was used for the back patch as well as for the accompanying travel tag.

- The jeans were sewn on 1940s cast iron machines using multi-gauged threads throughout the body."

ok, easy question. worn my Nudies rafs used deluxe for about 30 days. time for a wash. the fit is pretty much perfect except they're a little big in the waist. length is perfect. how do I treat these to shrink the waist a little but not lose length? just regular wash and dry and then stretch them out right out of the dryer?
