Georgetown is overrated - shouldn't even be ranked. The Coach is overrated (he got lucky one year cause Jeff Green is the man). Princeton offense is not a good offense for teams that have superstars like monroe, wright, and freeman... That's why it's called the Princeton offense (designed for teams like princeton, not Georgetown) ...That's why Davidson beat Georgetown in the NCAA and that's why nobody could handle Stephen Curry... This year Hoyas could only get 1-star recruits... And based on last week's game, 16 turnovers against Temple?!?!
I wouldn't put money on them... unless the hoyas break free of that princeton offense. _________________ GU Hoyas Track & Field

^ Please dont judge teams off of one game. Monroe played terrible the other night, once he gets it going GTown will have a decent team.
EDIT: I didnt see they played today as well and lost. I didnt see the game, but they did lose by 4 to a top 20 team. Not to bad. A lot of teams look very ugly right now with the games I have seen. This season could be wide open. _________________ For Sale: DS Size 10.5 Space Jams

Yeah, so i'm guessing Roy Hibbert, Patrick Ewing Jr. had nothing to do with that team huh? _________________

I'm not judging Georgetown off one game, I'm judging them off years of watching them. I've been a Hoyas fan since Ewing Sr. and I went to Georgetown as well. I'm just critical of them because they're suppose to be better, but they aren't...and I don't think that they deserve to be ranked; especially last year's performance - going from Top 10 to Top 25 to unranked to University of Maryland being better than them to not going to the Tournament to losing to Baylor 1st round in the NIT. To me, that's a slap in the face especially if you're a fan.
I hope they can prove me wrong, but I don't think the team is as good as they should be, especially when I've seen how Jeff Green, Hibbert, Sapp, Pat Ewing Jr, Chris Wright, Austin Freeman, Jason Clark, and Greg Monroe played in high school, yes it's high school basketball, not college ball, but their stats were and are drastically lower than high school stats, while other star college players either maintained their nice stats or improved them. _________________ GU Hoyas Track & Field

Hibbert was decent... he hasn't been a monster until he reached the NBA. Averaging almost a double-double this year is amazing. However, Hibbert was streaky and had great games and then had very poor games. Going back to the Davidson game, Hibbert had 6 pts, 1 reb. Macklin was doing better than him, but somehow Coach Thompson decides to put Hibbert back.
Ewing Jr. was a good hustle man, but I don't think Coach Thompson incorporated Ewing Jr. into the plays as much as he should have. Ewing Jr. could have been a monster player.
Most of this "hating" as a fan is on the Coach. I really think that Georgetown should be a powerhouse with the players we got and blowing out teams, but instead we barely beat teams because of the Princeton offense. I had a professor one time ask Jessie Sapp in class, "How about that Princeton Offense?"
Sapp replies, "Straight BullS***". Most players feel that way (which is why every class up to 2010 has almost everyone leaving the team)
P.S. I did overlook 2 players - Dajuan Summers and Jon Wallace... they contributed to the team. but that's embarassing that i overlooked it. lol _________________ GU Hoyas Track & Field

Cuse is giving Carolina some trouble half way through the first half.
Once we get a rhythm going, we'll be alright, but we better get it going. _________________ London aka I RoC JaYz23

Syracuse straight busted UNC last night. That preseason loss really lit a spark in that team. The Big East is the best conference in the nation again this year. _________________ For Sale: DS Size 10.5 Space Jams
