unless you buy a really high end pair of skull candys they are really horrible as far as quality.. i bought 2 pair of ear buds that are normally 50 retail and they both broke...i wont buy skull candy again..

Skullcandy Hesh is pretty good. The bass is as good, if not better, than Bose. It's not as comfy though.  |

Maybe you got a bad set. I've had a set of Skullcandy INK'd for about a year now and I use them whenever I lift / run.
Thus far they've been the best workout headphones I've had.
