hdmi is a smaller connection a little bigger than a usb.. ill get you a picture to reference.. and dvi is larger than a standard pc connection or ( vga)
hdmi is on the left.. dvi on the right... let me know if you have any other questions.. if you have ability to use hdmi you should.. it carries sound and has alot of future potential where dvi gives you same picture quality in a much larger cable and no audio content..

im gonna agree..
i own a monster 1000 current model.. which i use for my blu ray player.. i have my 40 " lcd on its swivel base it came with and i regularly turn it towards my desk and back towards my bed.. the molding on the monster 1000 is breaking apart.. i have a rocketfish ( the higher end hdmi house brand from best buy) has all the same certifications as the monster 1000 such as 120hz ( which is a bunch of bs anyways) same future bandwidth capabilities..same capability for higher bit color, lifetime warranty and all that jazz... not only that the difference maker for me.. the rocketfish had a flexible molding on the end ment for being moved side to side.. so not only does it have the same picture as my monster 1000.. the rocketfish 8ft cost me 6 bucks on my discount and the 1000 i got free from a training but would cost 129 normal price and about 40 on discount.. so about a fourth of the price for a better cables thats twice the length... thats my story lol.. hope anyone cares

frys if you live near one .. or crutchfield online.. if you want one that does all that and it comes out from the wall 9.5 or 19.5 arm as well you can get it at best buy..
