My pc is acting strange
On start up it freezes when I open mozilla firefox or I try to view a file
On safe mode w/ networking it works fine (on it atm)
But regularly it doesn't want to work
This happened recently
If it matters specs are Gateway 17'- dual core - Vista Home premium-4gb ram
Yes I DL music (frostwire)

Question: I havent used my PC in awhile becuz i bought a laptop, i started up my PC today and i used it for awhile and just then the screen goes BLUE. I heard it something called the, "Blue Screen of Death" The message said my computer had shut down to prevent further damage. What do i do next ? What do you recommend i install ? Any Help Please and Thank You!

My password's/log in info isn't staying saved for sites like this yahoo.. nt it always has and i never had a problem (yes im checking keep me signed in). Did i uncheck an option somewhere? any help is appreciated. thanks.

check your browser settings to see if the 'save password' option is checked

laptop problem:
what used to happen is my laptop would go into standby and i would move my mouse and the screen would reappear. now when it goes into standby mode and i move the mouse the screen will not reappear, and i have to turn off and then on again to use my laptop. should i change my power settings or is there another way to optimize my power settings?
current power settings:
(no screen saver)
turn off monitor: 15min
turn of hard disks: 15min
system standby: 20min
system hibernate: 30min
