Well I just got back from the state fair, and my homie and I were waiting for his girlfriend to come out of the restroom. There was this guy and his girl standing near the building, the dude tells me to come here and he says "I like your shirt, I haven't seen anyone wear that in years" and I said thanks. Now I'm wearing a red Stussy tee, 501s, and AJ1s... He asks me if I was from here (Oklahoma City) or from somewhere else, I said "yeah I'm from here, I just travel alot" then he says "I use to wear Stussy back in High school, when I was 15 in California"... I was kinda shocked that all this was happening. So we both shake hands, and then my homie points out that the dude is rocking some OG 10s Steels. So I comment on his shoes, and he complains that they're dirty. I said "but still have you some OG 10s, we shake hands again and thats it.
Even though you could tell he was a lil' tipsy, It didn't matter... Life is dope!

Boy do I have a story to tell.... I submitted it via email, but i'm pretty sure it won't see the light of day...
About two years ago, I was at the peak of my sneaker obsession. I would log on to ISS at least 10 times a day to check my messages, comment on threads, etc. At the time, I had a listing up with about 5 or so shoes, one of them being the unlucky SBs. I log on to check my PMs one day and find a buyer interested in my shoes. Let's just say his name is Bob. He offered 2 pairs of shoes (what they were isn't that important) that I was very intent on owning. The catch was that we ship at the same time. I had always told myself to refuse trades unless the opposition sent out first. Although my better judgement told me not to, I caved in and accepted his offer. We exchanged phone numbers on my request, and discussed the details.
So it comes the day where we are supposed to ship out, and I hold out my end of the bargain. The pit of my stomach is telling me something is not quite right, but I go to the post office anyway, and ship out the shoes. According to Bob, he had done the same. We texted eachother the tracking numbers, and I waited and hoped for the best. We kept in touch, and everything seemed to be legit. Three days pass, and I check the tracking number on my Unlucky's. USPS confirmed that they were delivered. I however, had received nothing. I then try to call the guy. To my unpleasent surprise, the # I dialed was no longer in service. I realized that I had been scammed, and frantically rushed to my computer. When I logged on, I see a message from Jvini. "You are under investigation for fraud."
At this point, I am baffled. I PM him back explaining the situation, telling him that I was the one who in fact had been scammed. He replys by sending me pictures. Pictures that Bob had sent him. They were of the box I sent him, wrapping and all. The only thing missing from the pictures were my Unluckies. Bob had told Jvini that I had sent him an empty box, (a classic scammers last resort to avoid a ban.) I PM him back with pictures of my post office reciept, with the shipping price somewhere along the lines of $11.50. I explained to Jvini that if I had in fact sent him an empty box, it would've been much cheaper than what it was.
I then proceeded to IM Bob, because I see his screenname is signed on. I tell him how much of a jerk he is to scam me, let alone lie on top of it. I told him I could not believe he would go so low as to take pictures of the box I sent him and fib and say it is empty. I had his address, and told him I would show up at his door if he didn't return the shoes. He responded saying that he loved the shoes, and that I was a fool for ever trusting him. He told me that he used a pay as you go phone, and I had no chance in hell of finding him or retrieving the shoes. He told me that the address he provided me was a friend of his, and the shoes were far, far away from the place I sent them.
I felt terrible, and could not bear to speak to such an asshole. I logged off my computer and went to bed, hoping that justice would be served by the morning. As soon as I wakeup, I rush to my computer. I wanted to make sure Bob had been banned. I pull up the solecollector page, and type in my username/password. What showed up on the screen directly afterwords has literally scarred me to this day.
"YOU HAVE BEEN BANNED INDEFINITELY FROM THIS FORUM. ANY QUESTIONS/CONCERNS CONTACT JVINI"
I stare into my computer screen in disbelief. I just could not comprehend the words in front of me. I immediately email JVINI, and PMed him the AIM conversation I had with Bob. I demanded my ban to be lifted, and conveyed my disgust for the forum. I was naive at the time, and my hopeful brain told me that this situation would be resolved. For the next month or so, I waited for him to respond. I sent him a countless number of emails, but to no end. I was expelled from the forum, with no hopes of ever getting my reputable 75+ feedback account back... I felt crushed. ISS was a huge part of my life. I had not only been scammed for $200.00+ shoes, but I was raped of my dignity.
Although my experience was unfortunate, it inadvertently opened my eyes up to the harsh reality of the world.
Life is not fair: the everlasting moral I had learned the hard way....
(PS: Since my return to SoleCollector, I have been contemplating weather or not to express the truth. Some are probably wondering how I am on the site. This is my friends account, I asked him to use it. I know I will probably be banned again for sharing this story, but I have decided that it is worth it to bring light to people's eyes.)
