Can someone recommend a fan +heat sink? My priorities are NOISE control and cooling power. I run an intel q8200 (LGA775)..I do NOT overclock, nor do much gaming. I just can't stand how loud the intel fan and sink is. I'm currently debating between these:
1. Arctic cooling Freezer pro 7
2. OCZ OCZTVANQ Vanquisher CPU Cooler
3. the other arctic cooling one that's slightly more and has the fan between the two aluminum plates (sorry dont know the name of that one)
I'm trying not to spend more than 30-40, hopefully the set up will include some decent thermal paste. thanks to the ones that gave me some advice before, but I didnt have money then and now looking to get it done right. |

QFT. The S1283 is the HSF of choice for most enthusiasts, at least as far as last-gen rigs go. For that price, you really can't go wrong.
Might want to grab a retention bracket as well, makes things a lot easier. _________________ Hi, I'm Mikey.
