When the Maryland Terrapins took the floor this past week at the Lahaina Civic Center in Hawaii for the Maui Invitational Tournament, five of the teamÃÂÃÂÃÂÃÂs players were wearing the Micro G Fly Mid, an entirely new model from Under Armour Basketball. While other brands annually outfit their teams in floral patterned shoes for the Hawaiian tournament each fall, Under Armour, known for their brashness and intensity, created a tribal ÃÂÃÂÃÂÃÂTerraprintÃÂÃÂÃÂÃÂ that is applied in matte anodized fashion.
Equipped with a one piece forefoot support overlay that extends into the heel, the shoe is also accented by a molded anodized sythentic along the collar, featuring sizable perfs for added breathability. Along with the added contouring at the collar, the shoe also incorporates a mesh inner sleeve for improved fit. The pictured away black/white/red/gold and home white/black/red/gold colorways will remain a Terrapin team exclusive for the time being.
The rest of the Terrapins squad, as well as all Under Armour sponsored teams, will begin wearing the Micro G Fly Mid in January. Brandon Jennings, who has worn multiple versions of the Prototype, will likely wear his PE versions in the coming weeks. Be sure to also check back on Tuesday for a full break-down of Micro G cushioning, Under ArmourÃÂÃÂÃÂÃÂs new lightweight foam compound that weÃÂÃÂÃÂÃÂll be seeing in their basketball offerings.

With the NBA Draft Lottery order being decided in less than two hours, two of the worldÃÂÃÂÃÂÃÂs hottest point guard prospects that will be available in the lottery next June are definitely Ricky Rubio and Brandon Jennings. Both have been balling in Europe all season long, one a native of Spain and the other a transplant from Compton to Rome, and the two squared off last December for the first time in a highly touted match-up taking place in Barcelona. It was during that game that Jennings brought out some flair for the host city with a special make-up of the very first Under Armour basketball shoe, done up in white, blue, red and yellow.
With a heavily perfed upper featuring a white synthetic leather midpanel and nubuck toe and heel quarters, the shoe also features Under ArmourÃÂÃÂÃÂÃÂs Cartilage cushioning along the heel and into the midfoot. With dual contrast stitching along both quarters, the personal touch is certainly the ÃÂÃÂÃÂÃÂYoung MoneyÃÂÃÂÃÂÃÂ stitching along the medial collar, a nickname Brandon has taken to. Be sure to check out the black/white colorway we highlighted back in February as well. Once again, this shoe will remain exclusive to Brandon and wonÃÂÃÂÃÂÃÂt be hitting retail.
