Adidas fans should be happy with Rubio signing on with the stripes, he should get some great 'Minny color ways, no surprise that he went with Adidas either..

The addition of Rubio will be interesting. With two players, Rose as well, coming back from an ACL tear, this has the potential to be something special.

He'll be a great draw in Europe for Adidas, then being able to reach out to the fans in the U.S., those who do not like Kobe Bryant and LeBron James. Rubio is not a great defensive player, nor great shooter, but he has a loyal fan base in Spain. The real signal that is being sent is that someone who is recovering from an ACL injury, is actually signing on with Adidas, much to the chagrin to those with a love of all things Nike.

From what I understand, this cat is an actual hoops player. This is refreshing because, in this industry filled with designers and marketing reps, very few actually play the game, or use the shoes for which they are meant for.

We do not want expensive shoes, those that are prone to hype, to do things like this...

...as many of us who play in the parks and gyms all over this country then the world, as many of us who've had our feet stepped upon, then even stepping on others, intentionally or otherwise while playing against big and small, this should never, ever happen. It may be the ultimate test for the integrity of a shoe that is supposedly [i]ELITE[/i]... :down:
