Alright people, I need your help. I have come to a crossroads in my life and I am trying to figure out where to go next. In response to this, I have pretty much decided that I am going to go and travel for a while. This is due to the fact that I do not currently have a job nor do I really have anything else keeping me bound to LA.
How long "a while" actually is, well that I have no answer to. All I do know is that I want to be out and about for at the absolute very minimum one month, I think I am more looking in the three month range. But, this is where all of you come in. Where should I go?
Besides the general responses of Europe or Asia and such, I am looking for specifics. Specific countries, cities, areas, etc. I do not have any plan currently, the only thing I do have planned is to see as much of the world as possible while I am out on my walkabout (for you Trav), LOL! I want to cram as much as possible into this trip. So where do I go?
edit: Jay have you said that you have been to Japan? If so, I need a city or two to check out there, recs would be great!

that is awesome db, hope you do follow through with it. what's your budget going to be like? only ask because i'd imagine the best bang for your buck would be europe so you can pretty much travel through one city/country to the next without having to hop on a plane.
i really dont have any recommendations. i figure on an outing like this, everything is gonna be an adventure and it really doesnt matter. you can always take a vacation to a certain spot later. australia is definitely on my list...
ive never done real rock climbing before, only indoor. how much more intense is it? id imagine the fear of falling feels much more real.

ive been to japan so many times because i have family there, it never gets old for me. i know im missing out on other places though. you should definitely take advantage of the timing if your friend is hitting up asia. i really wish patrick went up there. im sure he wouldve liked it. i bet you'll love japan. white guys have more fun up there than asian guys haha.
i went to munich for oktoberfest last fall lol. it was awesome. i was kinda bored outside of oktoberfest though. from munich we went to milan, stopped over in monaco for a pit stop, we hit up nice & paris in france, amsterdam, traveled back south to prague, and ended up back in munich. drove the whole way lol. unfortunately due to time constraints and the geography, cologne and berlin had to be cut out. i know i missed out on berlin. oh well. i wouldnt mind using the train next time and hitting up other spots.
trav how far away are you from sydney or melbourne? no one ever talks about brisbane lol.

^ no idea, i dont own one thing supreme except for the 02 dunks haha. Pretty sure everyone is fiending over that CDG shit though but wait for someone else to weigh in.
Deez, rock climbing sounds awesome. I did it when i was just a teenager but cant really remember much except the fact i had a shitload of fun.
My friend's brother has a DS CDG x Supreme Grey Hoodie that he doesn't want and offered to sell it to me for retail. I don't wear Supreme so I don't really want it, but is it worth buying for a resell? I was thinking of buying it and doing that, but I don't know how long I will have to sit on it before selling. I guess I could resell on the cheaper side and still make some money without much hassle. What do you guys think.
how much was retail? I know people sell those hoodies easily for over $200 and probably even much more. If it was under 150 id take it. And i just did a quick completed listings search on ebay and the last few grey ones went for $207, 275, and 400. So i think there may be a pretty decent profit margin if youre willing to take the few pics to list it.
But i agree with trav, most supreme stuff sucks haha. Although i did like those floral print shorts, but would never pay how much people ask for them.
Steve- my girl is always trying to get me to go rock climbing. She has been doing it for a few years. But i feel like despite how good my grip strength is, rock climbing is not made for bigger guys haha.

Already spoken to you about this but AUSTRALIA for sure. :p I recommend the Philippines as well, cool cultural experience and they have a FUCK load of awesome tropical islands perfect for a getaway and sight seeing if u get sick of the hustle and bustle in the major cities. I rate Japan as well, went snowboarding there and homestay as well when i was in school. Tokyo for me is a must but Kyoto and Hiroshima were fantastic as well. Plenty of other cities i went t there but they were my fav, from memory anyway. The history there is insane and could keep anyone entertained for days. I have heard wicked things about singapore as well.

Trav - Thanks for the recs! I'll definitely keep those in mind. Talking to Brian B. on FB about Japan because he has been before and apparently has a lot of knowledge on the country. I'll probably have him help me plan Japan through if I do go.
Jay - My budget, well that's a bit in the air. I am really gonna hustle to try and sell off the stuff I wanna get rid of over the next week and see what I have. Because I do have access to some money if need be, but I would prefer not to use that money.
Yeah it really is gonna be an adventure and that is why I would like to see as much as possible while I am gone. I would like to go to a few places before I hit Europe and get into the real backpacking. I have a buddy from HS who lives in Seoul and a mutual friend of ours is going out there, first Thailand and then to Korea. So if I can, I am gonna try and hit those places up with them, but yeah i don't know how much money I am gonna need if I do all this flying. Currently, the hardest thing I am encountering is trying to get to Munich in time for Oktoberfest while still hitting these other places. it sucks, because Munich is right in the middle of Europe so I have to take a weird path around.
Sounds like a sick plan dan, just dont get killed haha. My girlfriend has actually traveled a lot and so has my other friend. As much as I am indifferent to it, i would have agree with Europe and Japan. My gf lived in both places for a couple of months and has some great stories and said they were amazing; particularly Germany and Tokyo/ kyoto. And itd be cool for one of us to actually meet Trav so why not australia too haha.
Mike - Yeah I am pretty amped about it. Trying to hustle so that I can kick things off next month.
I have a tentative travel itinerary, but I feel like I might have chosen too many major cities (generic tourist cities) and need to mix some others in there. Anyone have any suggestions? Or do you think I should just stick with kind of what I have?

^ hahaha fuck u. Im about 1000km from sydney and about 1700km or so from Melbourne. Brisbane is the 3rd largest city in AUS behind the two that u mentioned and a capital city but it doesnt get anywhere near the amount of play tourism wise as Melbourne and Sydney. We have the Gold Coast and Sunshine Coast right near us though so thats a big draw card....
Here is a map for u dumb muricans..... :p

DB, yeah brian should be good to talk to about Asia, via his instagram it seems like every month he takes a trip to a different asian country. Very well travelled by the looks of things.....
