Actually I might know a solution to the drying out of retrobright by adding in an extra ingredient to the mix, but I'll need to experiment with it first. If it goes well I'll make a video.

That would be legit if you could find a way for the retrobright to not dry out without using saran wrap. Please keep us posted with your findings!

Any luck yet I have theory too

Nah. I tried vegetable glycerine, which essentially would've been like adding oil to it to keep it from drying, but it didn't really work. Chances are I used too little, or it was because it was like 95 degrees. I'll try again and let you guys know.

Yeah. Works works on all rubber/plastic; at least retrobrite does, can't say the same for seaglow.

In short, retrobright is cheaper to make and you can go collect the ingredients around your town. Retrobright is safer to use on your shoes because you don't have to worry about the glue in the soles being eaten away. Sole separation is going to happen if the shoe gets hot enough, but sea glow can eat the glue away if it gets under the sole. Sea glow produces results quicker regarding icey soles, but I feel that the yellowing comes back quicker with sea glow than with retrobright. Also sea glow is easy as hell to apply because its already made, you just apply and rub it in. Retrobright you have to make a fresh batch each time and if it dries it's kinda a pain to get off the shoes.

All around retrobright is a better choice, but both have their pros and cons.
I'm not cocky I'm just proud of me.

Going to do my jams today. Do I need to put a even coat on the whole sole or just the yellowed areas?

I tried making some retrobrite today. when you add the oxyclean is it supposed to dissolve or can you still see it? I made mine today and it just looked like clear gel with a bit of oxyclean partials in it. It did foam but not much.
