Regarding rule enforcement, yes, we are looking to add a team and a report button to assist in handling these. Stay tuned.

757SoleStalker:
So if thats the case and it's getting worse as you have seen over time since you have been here longer than I have and by no means was I saying it some thing new that started when I started Joining, so it just seems like you guys aren't moving on your stance. I also wouldn't go as far as calling individuals that has been scammed "irresponsible" i would believe that most of people that get scammed lack a sense of "street smarts" and an overall lack of "common sense". Especially when you have kids in forum from the ages of 13-17 who probably get caught in the moment when doing these transactions and don't really pay attention to the Marketplace guidelines, Speaking of if you guys want people to follow the Marketplace Guidelines so bad why don't either post it In every forum not just the "Members Only section" or When you go to the MP a pop up comes up with the MP Guidelines automatically and then you have no excuse that you didn't know or see the Guidelines.

Correct, our stance has not changed. But the way we enforce it (ie not accepting these types of disputes) has. That's all. And look, when a user sends a $1000 money order to some seller with 0 posts, 0 feedback, and 0 tagged pictures...yes, that is irresponsible. If users don't know any better, they should stay in school and reference the beautiful Safety Guide that we crafted for them.

GuessWho?:
But honestly, once a member is scammed due to them not using paypal, what can the staff do besides ban them?

Nothing. The registration agreement and rules have always stated that we are not responsible for any transactions that occur on the site. To keep the Marketplace safe and a rich experience for users, we do our best to root out fraud, which includes our rules and dispute process.

We often receive disputes from users who expect us to refund them if something goes wrong, but unfortunately we are not in a position to do so. If users use Paypal, as they're supposed to, they'll get their money back one way or another.
Nice, I would def like to be apart of the team if possible.

My ideas,

Make the rule so that they have to wait 3 months before buying or selling. They must at least have 1 post in the scammers thread. Any postwhoring will lead to an extra month needed to buy or sell.

Anyone who uses any methods but paypal/sneaker exchange with anyone with under 30 feedback should be banned. Including the person getting scammed.

Take off the MO, and concealed cash off of the listing payment options.

Anyones listings with untagged pics or not accepting paypal with under 30 feedback should be deleted on sight.

Make a team to monitor and enforce these rules.

Not throwing salt or anything, but how do you get feedback if you do not do any transactions in the market place? Can we just leave feedback about a user without doing a transaction?

MO/concealed cash is at buyer's and seller's discretion IMO. Not everyone uses paypal as some have had bad experience with them too.

I will just monitor the MP much closer and target listings with untagged pics and no list price in their ad. click DELETE!

but everything else is really up to the buyer and seller's discretion on how to go about the transaction.

It should be where you are able to post offers directly into the listing for all to see. Make it so that seller gets a pm/or email about the post. And have it so that the post do not count as a bump of the listing.
Also it would be nice if all transactions had to go to an admin for approval. If the admin sees that the trade is being done without Sneaker Exchange warn both parties that if one of them gets scammed there is nothing that can be done and suggest they use Sneaker Exchange. Or if Paypal is being used and the money is being sent as a gift, warn them of what can happen and if if they wish to continue let them. Just an are you sure type thing to deter people from being dumb. If they choose to proceed it's their fault they were scammed.

Instead of the approval going to the Admin Staff, I think the approval should take place among the Market Place Team. If a MP Staff needs additional information or advice about a transaction, then escalate it up to the Admins of the board. I think every transaction going to an Admin will be a lot for them.

This, we would need a large team to monitor Every transaction though. So all deals would have to be approved by the MP team member or mods/admins.
Warn them and if they choose to go on with it they would do it at their own risks.
