Thanks IneedXIs for the comment, i did use the green to be the eye catching part of the shoe, i did not want the gator print to stand out as the eye catcher.

Good attemp with the airbrush "mram", but a little to much color on some certain areas. You should also clean the areas where the white hits the colored panels.

looking pretty good actually but its always a good idea to present your work as 'finished' ie clean up any excess paint with acetone, lace up the shoes and photograph them complete - remember, you can use the image as part of your 'portfolio'
freakin'sneakin':

mram415- not a bad start. an airbrush can really help and advance your designs later on so it good that your learning how to use it now. i suggest you get one of those big blank paper to practice some design on there, then take it to the kicks. good luck

SECT.HI:
Loving the constructive criticism.

Jester- Thanks for the comments and critique.
There isn't any real reason that I do 2/3 of the
shoe with a print to be honest, I think that it's
just the way I like to see it on a pair of shoes.
I usually like something solid on one side and
something that's eyecatching on the other. Makes
a nice balance.

El- Hah you caught me. I had a different Log in on
this site before. I was under the alias of "chrye".
I did post my magenta cheeta's up before but never
the lavastrikes. I'll post a little refresher with some
other shoes that I've done that I just found on my
computer.

kawooool - yes we will, and direct them to this thread.

CH1C0 - That avocado color on black is DOPE AS HELL! Very very nicely done. Two things I can offer on that pair is to make sure that your croc print isn't so formulated and even. Your horizonal lines are all parallel to each other, that's got to be varied abit. Also try to go alittle deeper in the print itself. The other thing is to paint the "AIR" to the avocado color to tie in the sole with the upper.

The second pair you posted look like a beat pair that you were trying some different methods on, am I right? Because the color scheme just isn't really workable. I think the croc print is a bit better on those and the glossiness of the back panel looks very good. Does this pair have a double swoosh or did you paint the blue inbetween the stitching? From the side angle pics it looks pretty clean, so good job on that.

On the Street Cat Af1s... very very good job. Only flaw I'm seeing is the outer collar panel, looks like you got some black on the white liner... super important to not get anything on that liner because unless you can deconstruct, you can't fix that. What does the right panel say? S.U.? what does that stand for?

SECT - Now THAT is what I'm talking about with the cheetah print!! Did you layer the print like that on the green pair? .... I knew I'd seen your stuff before too.... sneaky sneaky... that's pretty much exactly what i was trying to dictate in my last post. That cheetah print is very lovely.

The denims look good, maybe a little too big on the outer panel sizes. Did you have alot of overlap? denim's will always fray regardless of how close you get it to the base shoe's panels, but it's super important to make sure that they're securely glued on those edges.

Jester thanks a lot on the comments and and pointers for improving my work. Yea u are right the second pair was a pair of beaters, i was trying the patent leather look. The swoosh is actually painted around the stiching so it creates a double swoosh look. On the right panel of the Street Cat it says S.V. they are someones initials.
