I don't know where to start reading up on my situation in this thread, or who to directly ask this so I'll just put it out in the open and hope someone responds or shoots me a PM:
I've just bought two 32GB iPhone 4's (Not 4S) and one is on firmware of 4.3.5 and the other is on 5.0. Can these both be unlocked AND jailbroken? If so, what's the highest version I could upgrade them to before or after unlocking and jailbreaking?
Please let me know, I really want to start putting these to use.
Also, for the record, my carrier is SimpleMobile.

5.01 (with preserved baseband of 4.10.01) is the highest you can go with a JB, and you can only unlock firmwares 4.3.3-5.01 on the iPhone 4 with a Gevey Sim. They have an untethered Gevey now on their official site applenberry.com for only $20

MESSAGE TO EVERYONE HERE: APPLE IS NOW UNLOCKING IPHONES!
My friend got his unlocked today.
Call first and tell them you were once a member of AT&T and are now with (current carrier) and you want the iPhone to work with it and they'll ask various questions but will eventually do it for you.
He got it done for free, but I don't know if that applies for every person.

The only requirements are that a customers account must be in good standing, their device cannot be associated with a current and active term commitment on an AT&T customer account, and they need to have fulfilled their contract term, upgraded under one of our upgrade policies or paid an early termination fee"

I figured I'd put you guys onto this. I'm sure some of you already know about it. This isn't a scam like other make money type stuff, it's just a simple process where you watch app trailers, then download the app and receive points which can be turned into money and transferred to your paypal account. I know everyone here has a paypal haha so it's pretty cool. Not a get rich quick scheme or anything, just a simple thing to do on your phone to make a couple extra dollars for some new jays.
I've been on these forums since 2003 and have plenty of feedback so please believe I'm not here to put you onto any bs

Will I be able to jb it?
also Ive recently realized im bad at all dyi jobs, is it easy to jailbreak and will theyre be any consequences if I mess up?

Tweaks like hiding notification badges, stopping history from popping up in Safari, and other fun stuff.. Then there's the other side of it. Free apps :ninja:
