oh...well the straight end mic side should be towards the splitter if you want to hear vocals (that was a problem for me, the angled side was distorting my sound from my splitter), but I misread your question my bad, no idea about the mic. I'm pretty sure it wouldn't be able to, but try plugging it into the mic input directly instead of headphone input or splitter. (edit: nvm, tried it. doesn't work man)

is this square trade warranty any good? i got my beats off that friends and family sale during winter break and i think my 90 day warranty is up with them. i just want some extra protection cause i've had friends who have snapped their beats out of no where. or is there anywhere else i could cop a warranty plan? any help is appreciated.

Fresh - Slickk reccommended us to get it. So with his knowledge, i say yes get it.
Kalligraphy - if they break you have 1 year warranty, so you can tell a monster tech rep what happened and they'll ask questions and will ask to ship them back to the monster cables HQ and vola! you have replacements
