Lol at some of you guys wanting Dalembert over Chandler. The dude goaltends more than he actually blocks. He's a slow defender while Chandler has the footwork to keep up with some guards at mid-range. Getting Chandler brings respectability and toughness defensively (something that's been lacking for quite some time) to what will be one of the best frontcourts in the NBA. Look at the culture change he brought to the Mavs. Imagine what he can do for us.

Fuck Dalembert. The dude is garbage.

I have a feeling we're not gonna be done. With Billups getting amnestied, we'll pick up another PG to run the point (I can't see TD running this show at all) as well as pick-and-roll with STAT and Chandler.

Be happy about this guys. We're one step closer to becoming a more complete team.

you wanna pay him 54 million? dude isn't worth over 9-10 million a year at best. I like him better than dalembert of course but if we get him we have to amnesty Billups, and don't have enough cap room for other players

Damn 4 years for $54 million is definitely way too much. I think 5 years for $50 million would've been ok. I always said he was in the $8-10 million/year bracket.

This takes us out of contention in getting one of the marquee PG's via free agency but we can afford Raymond Felton and he's a FA after this year. That won't be a bad move.

I think the Knicks offered Chandler a big contract because they knew they weren't going to land CP3 and with Howard expressing his desire to get traded to Brooklyn, Deron Williams chances of extending has increased significantly. Seeing as there are no other big named players in the free agency next year that would be desirable for the Knicks, this Chandler move isn't bad.

Some of you might say he's a role player getting paid star money but he's a big presence. He brings so much to the table. I'm sure he'll alter shots inside and preventing 4-6 points of easy buckets in the paint will be the difference in the Knicks being 42-40 or a 50 win team.

Good move overall. Paid a little too much but I'm happy with this acquisition.

^ i"m happy we got a big man but we could have offered a smaller deal. Hopefully we can get Felton after the season. I'm just worried who's going to run the point now

Other than overpaying I really like this move. I just hope he can stay healthy.

Good pick up by you guys.

Chandler has the toughness and the experience to compliment the Knicks. It all starts on the defensive end.

Yea and we got a defensive coordinator. Hopefully Melo decides to play D this year. Someone needs to teach Amare, he has the tools to be good defensively. Iman Shumpert is good on D too.

I would rather have Becky Hammon or Theresa Witherspoon than Baron Davis. If it's a short term plug then maybe since the Knicks might amnesty Billups. But definitely not a multiyear contract.
