We don't lose anything besides a roster spot if Thabeet doesn't pan out.
It's not like the rotations go 15 people deep anyways. Theres plenty of people that would get the minutes before him if Brooks doesn't like what he's seeing during workouts/practices. Perkins, Ibaka, Aldrich, Collison, and maybe even KD/PJ3 depending on how small the lineup is will get time before him in the 4/5 spot.

Besides, if theres anyone who can change the work ethic in somebody lazy, its the Thunder. Jones said it best himself, the Thunder set a standard during practice.

And I wouldn't put Thabeet as the worst lottery pick in NBA history, theres a LOT of dudes that can compete for that position.

Reports are indicating that OKC has also signed this [currently injured] undrafted rookie Hollis Thompson from Georgetown..

With the signing of Thabeet and Thompson, we have a full roster. From what I'm hearing, Thompson is basically an upgraded version of Daequan Cook with his sharpshooting, but can play better D and is more athletic. Was hoping to sign an interior presence to get us putbacks and rebounds, but maybe thats what we're training Thabeet and Aldrich for.

Projected Depth Chart:
PG: Westbrook/Maynor/Jackson
SG: Thabo/Harden/Cook
SF: Durant/Hayward/Thompson
PF: Ibaka/Collison/Jones
C: Perkins/Aldrich/Thabeet

I have my doubts this is the final squad coming in for the 2012-2013 season, but if it is, here's hoping it all pans out.

If we can get a TRUE center everything will be fine. We can still keep our rotation with Collison, Ibaka and Perkins too.

Glad that Ibaka got his extension. But from what I've seen, they are still working on trying to sign Harden as well

I think they're gonna let Harden walk. Can't see them investing so much money into only 4 guys.

^I think you're right, or maybe trade him before the deadline. But they would probably still want him after the deadline for a title run.

Being over that luxury tax will be a pain in the a$$hole

Might be only me but I think they should've signed Harden instead. Seeing Ibaka get ate up in the playoffs makes me think otherwise of him.
