SF has one fluke good year when everything went their way, they were picked by every analyist to be one of the bottom 5 teams in the nfl in preseason. Now everyone wants to act like Manning turned down playing for the '85 bears
It's because they haven't had a QB since Young, and a WR since Owens. Manning with Manningham & Moss would have been nice. Their D is solid, can run the ball, and have Veron Davis. Not to mention that division can easily be dominated by a 49er team with a good QB.
I agree, but I think the AFC west can be even more easily dominated by the broncos with Manning... my point was that people are acting like Manning turned down playing with the Packers talent to playing with the Raiders talent... the gap isn't very far. Denver pretty much tied 1st/won that division the last 2 years with Orton/Quinn/Tebow. And even without pickup up another WR, Manning will make Thomas and Decker look amazing. No one had ever heard of Pierre Garcon or Austin Collie before Manning, and probably won't hear from them again since he's gone

Bullet on #7. Which is why I think Eli didnt do San Diego to begin with. A Manning Superbowl would make for a great story.

i think that was the #1 reason he did it for his brother
but im saying family is important just imagine if you went to the playoffs and then beating your brother on the afc/nfc championship game wouldn't you feel bad and awkward
like its saying i have a #1 reason to hate my older brother like i honestly hate how manning has to be situation but he cares

Manning really think he can compete with Carson Palmer for the AFC West? Shiet...lol
