FlyKnit technology is set to release in July. This new technology is ground breaking. Not only is it a new sneaker technology, but it also change the way the manufacturing process is done. Instead of using 30+ stitches to create a shoe, FlyKnit uses only two stitches. This technology will revolutionize the way shoes are made. In my opinion this is one of the most innovative shoe technologies to ever come out.

Here is an article regarding the business side of the new technology.

I for one can't wait for these. I honestly think they will end up being my favorite shoes of all time and really hope they eventually end up on ID.

It's a shame that they are going for so much... I would love to own a few pairs (the white/black/volt pair for sure) to actually workout in.

Hopefully a few of the general release colorways have the different medial and lateral colors like the white/grey/black and white/black/volt pairs do... Definitely one of my favorite aspects.

^ I'm with you. I want to try a pair for the gym. Therefore I won't pay resell prices for the ones which have already released.

Hey guys I might have some info on a release for these...

I'm new to this thread... Not very big on running shoes. However, a buddy of mine is not a sneakerhead by any means but is a HUGE runner and recently started working for Nike Running in NYC. He called me up last night and we talked for a while just catching up. I asked him if he knew anything about the Yeezy 2 release and he said he didn't. BUT he said to look out for a new Nike running shoe that he said was AWESOME and he didn't have a pair yet but has had the privilege of testing. He said they are constructed with a SINGLE thread and I don't remember if they were called FLYknit but KNIT was definitely in the name. Anyway, he told me to look out for them around JUNE 29TH, and that they will be a very limited release similar to Galaxy's, Yeezy 2's, etc... and that stores like 21 Mercer will have them.

I really hope that this whole "limited" release is finally followed by a general release. Being that the start of the Olympics is less than 2 months away, it seems like there should be a lot more information as far as colorays, availability, etc.

Ya man it's ridiculous. We will have to keep an eye out for each other... I think the cheapest I have seen the white/black/volt pair for $450 but no way a college student without a job can afford that... It seems like that was a "good" price compared to the prices they have been going for.

I was a little surprised that these will be retailing for $150. I thought maybe since Nike was manufacturing these for so much cheaper the price would stay close to $100. I'm sure these will sell quickly even at the $150 retail price though, and that is why Nike can get a way with it.

I don't think I have ever been more excited for a new shoe to release. The design and innovation behind this shoe is amazing.

It's a sock with a sole thats saving nike money. Is there something Im missing?

Go get a pair of toms for 1/3 the price, they look better and are more comfortable.

If you need new gym shoes, inov8's are better than these. Isn't the sole constructed to blow out and not last? Another profitability, err excuse me, "performance" enhancement by nike.

I just wanted to give them a try. I use Reebok Nanos for gym work. I need to buy a pair of Reebok Nanos 2 and see how they compare.

Did you try the nano's prebake, and postbake? I've always wondered about that element of it. It's an awesome idea!

Looks are more subjective than comfort for sure. Why are they not comfortable? Have you owned a pair?
