Is this the third planet they have found recently? I read about another one. Not sure on the name, they always use such stupid things. Could you imagine if we landed on that planet.

Think they would give more special names to the "earth like" planets.

definitely don't have the tech to travel light years.. but contact with aliens is certainly plausible.

^^ I wouldn't be surprised if we get some heavy Solar storms before actually being able to land on a habitable planet.

Really cool but it will take us generations to travel 22 light years. Did a quick calculation. That's approximately 129,315,120,000,000 miles away.

671,000,000 miles per hour X 24 (hours) X 365 (days) X 22 (years) = 129,315,120,000,000

Speed of New Horizon Spacecraft.

36,373 mph X 24 (hours) X 365 (days) = 318,627,480 (distance traveled in one year)

Using one of the fastest spacecraft mankind has ever built, it will take us 202,925 years to get there.

129,315,120,000,000/318,627,480 = 202,925

Assuming that a person's average life span is 70 years, if we lived in a spacecraft, it will take us about 2,898 generations before we get there.

202,925/70 = 2,898
