International astronomers say they have found the fourth potentially habitable planet outside our solar system with temperatures that could support water and life about 22 light-years from Earth.
The team analysed data from the European Southern Observatory about a star known as GJ 667C, which is known as an M-class dwarf star and puts out much less heat than our Sun.
However, at least three planets are orbiting close to the star, and one of them appears to be close enough that it likely absorbs about as much incoming light and energy as Earth, has similar surface temperatures and perhaps water.

22 light years away, seems like our next possible destination. Your thoughts on this?

hm interesting. Too bad our technology is not even advance enough to orbit it.
Not yet, but in a few years I believe we'll be able to reach these neighbor planets and probably even land. Sort of Terra Nova-esque.

It should be interesting.

i still think that just because we need water doesn't mean other life in the universe needs water. For all we know there might be some Transformer shit going on right now

^^
But this can certainly mean that if there is 'life' on that planet, and their civilization is probably 'more' advanced than us, maybe they have been the ones traveling here? Could explain about 90% of the UFO sightings till this day.

Really cool but it will take us generations to travel 22 light years. Did a quick calculation. That's approximately 129,315,120,000,000 miles away.
671,000,000 miles per hour X 24 (hours) X 365 (days) X 22 (years) = 129,315,120,000,000
Speed of New Horizon Spacecraft.
36,373 mph X 24 (hours) X 365 (days) = 318,627,480 (distance traveled in one year)
Using one of the fastest spacecraft mankind has ever built, it will take us 202,925 years to get there.
129,315,120,000,000/318,627,480 = 202,925
Assuming that a person's average life span is 70 years, if we lived in a spacecraft, it will take us about 2,898 generations before we get there.
202,925/70 = 2,898
I think we can get more speed on that aircraft though.
Nothing a couple Supreme and Illest stickers can't fix.
^ I didn't account for the extra 100,000 mph that a Supreme sticker adds.
