VH1 Classic is showing a marathon of all things related to The Doors. The performance of Light My Fire they just showed was dope.

Figured I'd throw in my 70s list since I'm listening to some of this right now.
Led Zeppelin - Robert Plant was great as a front man. Jimmy Page's guitar work on every album was amazing.
Pink Floyd - Psychedelic rock at its finest. Get that outer body feeling listening to their albums.
The Who - I could listen to an album from start to finish. Pete Townshend's song writting ability and guitar work were excellent.
Rolling Stones - The Stones owned the 70s. The 6 albums they dropped in the 70s all went Platinum. "Can't You Hear Me Knocking"
Santana - This band put together by Carlos Santana was outstanding. Commercial success isn't as high as the others, but they put out great work. Carlos Santana is one of the top 5 guitarist ever in my opinion.
